After feeling “okay” yesterday, I set out to run a five mile out-and-back route.  To work on aerobic fitness, I ran by heart rate.  When my heart rate went above my high threshold, I walked until it dropped below my low threshold.  I was disappointed that I could not run more than 2-3 minutes before I exceeded my high threshold.  But I stayed the course because I know low rate heart rate training is what I need to do to build aerobic capacity.

My right hip started to get sore toward the end of the run and felt a wonky the rest of the day.  Oddly, at rest I had little to no discomfort.  It was only in motion that I noticed discomfort.  That’s backwards from what I usually feel.  Perhaps I need to do less running and get back on the indoor bike.
