I woke up sore and stiff after yesterday’s 10 miler.  To be expected and not all that concerning.  I was short on time due to a planned day trip to Chicago, so I did an abbreviated set of PT exercises, completing 12 of 15 and doing less sets on the time-consuming ones.  I left out 3 strength exercises that are difficult and time consuming.  I also added a few stretches to help loosen things up.  I felt okay when we left for Chicago, but throughout the day my knees and lower calves were sore and tight.  My right hip had the usual minor achiness, but the other soreness overshadowed it.  I’m hoping this is just the aftereffects of increasing my running time and distance too quickly.
