I woke up with the usual stiffness and soreness, but after some movement and stretching I was feeling okay.  It was snowing and temps were right around freezing, so Cat and I went out to the local county park to run laps on the 1.7-mile paved loop. I ran 3 laps by heart rate, trying to stay within 75-85% of max.  I could only run about a minute before exceeding my high heart rate limit. It took me 60 minutes to complete just over 5 miles.  Still disappointed with my cardiovascular fitness.

I felt okay the rest of the day, though I was very stiff after being at rest.  I had to focus on posture to stretch out my hip flexors which were pulling me into a “bent” posture.  But once I stretched myself into a tall posture, my hips felt pretty good. I found that encouraging.
